Bobbie June Dalton Johnson, 81, of Merigold, passed away on Aug. 21, 2020, peacefully at her home in Merigold.
June was born March 4, 1939, to George Lester and Hazel Louise Hutchinson Dalton in Attala County. She worked at the Cleveland High School Cafeteria for over 20 years, she also worked at Baxter Laboratories and Atapco and Milwaukee Tools.
June devoted many hours to her grandchildren, and she was a faithful prayer warrior, always willing to lend a hand. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and flowers grow. She was a member of Sallis Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lester and Hazel Louise Dalton; a brother, Ralph Dalton; and a twin sister, Joyce Dalton.
June is survived by daughters, Cindy Johnson of Newport, Cathy (Steve) Cummings of Newport, and Jo (Tommy) Haynes of Merigold; a brother, Charles "Cracker" (Mary) Dalton of McAdams; grandchildren, Stephen (Jenna) Cummings of Kosciusko, Cecilia (Daniel) Barnhill of Kilmichael, Shelby (Kyle) Blackwell of Cleveland, Jack Haynes of Cleveland; three great-grandsons and one on the way.
Visitation and memorial services were held at Cleveland Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020.
