Bernice Simmons McGivney of Grenada, formerly of Weir, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Grace Health & Rehab Center in Grenada.
Mrs. McGivney was born July 21, 1930, in Kosciusko. She was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church near Weir.
Funeral Services for Mrs. McGivney will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at noon at New Zion Baptist Church near Weir. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, from 10 a.m. until service time, also at New Zion Baptist Church.
Mrs. McGivney is survived by one daughter, Sandra Estes (Marshall) of Holcomb; one son, Nicky Simmons (Mary) of Ethel; two brothers, Bobby Pinkard (Judy) of Kosciusko, Charles Pinkard (Joyce) of Ethel; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
