A.M. “Butch” Parish, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He lived in Montgomery, TX.
Memorial Services and interment will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church in McCool, MS, where he was baptized. There will be a short visitation before the memorial service at the church. Rev. Glenn Griffith will officiate the services.
A.M. Parish was born on October 15, 1933, to Alba Maude and Claudie D. Parish in McCool, MS.
He was preceded in death by his brother, C.D. Parish of McCool, MS; sister, Gertrude (Gertie) Walls of Oklahoma City, OK; and sister, Pauline ( Polly) VanSice of Omaha, TX.; and parents Claudie D Parish and Alba Maude Parish.
A.M. is survived by his wife, Suzanne Parish, to whom he has been married the past 27 years; his children, Greg Parish of Hot Springs, AR, Bonnie Parish Gibson of Gainesville, GA, Jeff Daniel of Marshall Co., KY, Candis Coleman of Knoxville, TN, Melissa (Missy) Henderson of Gilbertsville, KY, and Troy Parish of The Woodlands, TX. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 20 great- grandchildren; sisters, Frances Brewer of Jackson, MS, Martha Cox of Montgomery, TX, and Judy Sylvester of Arlington, TX. He is also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews.
To family and friends, he was their “Gentle Giant.” He will be remembered forever and missed greatly by all.
