Kosciusko attorney Doug S. Crosby announces his candidacy for Circuit Court Judge, Place 2 in the Fifth Circuit Court District. Doug is married to the former Lisa Hanbery of Clinton and they have three children, Kaylan, Cole and Carley. He received a B.A. in English from Mississippi College and the Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Mississippi College School of Law.
Crosby’s experience includes working in the law firm Thornton, Guyton, Dorrill and Pettit and as partner in the firm Dorrill, Pettit, Crosby and White. He is owner of Crosby Law Office, PA. Other experience includes past attorney for Conehoma Water Association, Youth Court Prosecutor for Attala County, Kosciusko School District 16th Section Land Manager, and Kosciusko Schools Drop Out Prevention Committee Member.
Having recently been elected for a fourth consecutive term, Crosby currently serves the people of Attala County as County Prosecuting Attorney and Youth Court Prosecutor.
Having practiced for over 19 years in this district, Crosby has embraced a variety of roles in the legal field. He is a committed public servant who understands that the people of this district deserve to have a judge who serves with integrity, fairness and a sense of personal responsibility to always stand ready to apply the law without fear or favor.
