Officers with the Kosciusko Police Department arrested four individuals on Wednesday on shoplifting charges.
Lavivian Nelson, 24, Jerques Ball, 19, Cindy Arnold, 50, and Mageline Quarles, 18, were all arrested after attempting to steal merchandise from Walmart. Nelson, Quarles and Ball were arrested at the same time, while Arnold was arrested earlier in the day, according to Kosciusko Police Chief Herbert Dew said.
“It is unusual to see that many shoplifting cases in one day at a single location,” Dew added.

Jay Summerlin, 26, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace on East Adams Street by Captain Bobby Land.
Whitney McDaniel, 23, was arrested for Contempt of Court on Natchez Street by Lt. Bradley Fancher.
