The employees of the Entergy Attala Plant and the Entergy Mississippi, Inc. Kosciusko Service Center hosted the sixth annual hamburger lunch to recognize local first responders on Sept. 15, at the Kosciusko Fire Department.
Entergy employees welcomed the opportunity to meet and thank the first responders of the area, including Kosciusko Fire Department, Kosciusko Police Department, Attala Sherriff’s Department, Attala Fire and Rescue, Med Stat EMS Ambulance Service and various city and county employees.
“This is a terrific way to show these people our appreciation and this even was a great success,” said Lauren Moore, Entergy Mississippi, Inc., Customer Service Representative. “These first responders are part of our community and we want to show them that they are appreciated for the work that they do on our behalf.”
Entergy recently donated more than $3,000 to Attala County Fire and Rescue to purchase rescue equipment. Attala County Fire and Rescue provides first responder services, including rescue services if needed, at the Entergy Attala Plant.
“We saw an opportunity where we could help the fire department for their outstanding service to the plant and our employees as well as our community,” said James Hall, Attala Plant Manager.” This equipment is just one way of saying thanks and building upon our great working relationship.
Entergy provides electrical service to rural Attala County as well as parts of Kosciusko through its Service Center on Veterans Blvd. and owns and operates the Attala Plant in McAdams.
