Kosciusko and Attala County schools will be all-virtual Monday due to predicted winter weather. Both districts made the announcement Sunday afternoon.
"Based on advice from emergency management concerning the elevated threat of hazardous driving conditions, the Kosciusko school district will have a virtual learning day for all students Monday, January 11," said Kosciusko School Superintendent Billy Ellzey. "All buildings and offices will be closed. All teachers and staff will work from home."
Attala County Superitendent released a similar statement.
"The Attala County School District will do a virtual school day tomorrow due to an elevated threat of a winter storm in our area,” he said.
Ellzey said that the district will make a determination on holding the scheduled monthly school board meeting — planned for 6 p.m. Monday — sometime in the afternoon after evaluation of weather conditions.
