Kosciusko Police Chief Herbert Dew tonight confirmed that a single victim in this afternoon's shooting at 225 South Wells St. is deceased and that a suspect is in custody.

Kosciusko Police are investigating an afternoon shooting on South Wells Street after area residents reported hearing multiple shots fired just before 2:50 p.m.
Police issued a BOLO for a 2005 brown Chevrolet Tahoe that witnesses say left the scene at a high rate of speed, headed toward Hwy. 43 South. The vehicle was later located on Potts Street around 3:20 p.m., and a suspect was reportedly taken into custody.
Law enforcement officials have not released the name or condition of any possible victims, and the suspect has not yet been named publicly.
