Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail reports that three persons have been charged in connection with the Nov. 23 robbery of Dollar General in Ethel.
Chief Investigator Mark Hill charged Morris Morgan III, a 17-year-old black male from Lexington, MS, Jakevion Greer, a 20-year-old black male from Grenada, MS, and Yasin McGee, an 18-year-old black male from Lexington, MS, with armed robbery.
The Star-Herald first reported in an excusive story earlier this week that the three were being held without bond in Calhoun County on charges of capital murder in a separate incident and were persons of interest in the local armed robberies of the Sallis and Ethel Dollar General stores. It is unclear at this time if these individuals are also suspects in the Nov. 14 robbery of the Dollar General in Sallis.
The Attala County Sheriff's Office would like to thank Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan and the Calhoun City Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
