Minister Amos Coffee welcomed members and invited guest to the church’s annual Men’s Night.
This year’s banquet included a fiery motivational talk by Lester Walls of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, who used championship rings and medals, an ax and a football to make his points along the way.
The church’s Youth Choir opened the evening with a rousing version of “Inside Out,” and those attending enjoyed the choice of a turkey or chicken dinner prepared by members of the congregation.
Plaques were presented to various representatives of other local congregations, as well.
In his closing comments for the evening Coffee reminded the audience, “We must love one another; we just show love and compassion.”
