Kosciusko Lower Elementary Pre-K registration will be March 5 through March 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Needed for Registration: two current proofs of residence, updated shot record, township and range and a birth certificate. The child must be present for registration.
Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary
A Disabled American Veterans and Auxiliary meeting will be held March 5 at 5 p.m. in the extension office beside the fairground.
Dancing Rabbit meeting set
The Dancing Rabbit Genealogical and Historical Society will hold its March 14 meeting at the Museum of Mississippi History located at 222 North Street, Jackson, for a self-guided tour. The meeting will begin at the entrance of the museum at 10 a.m. General admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors.
REPM meeting
The Attala County Unit of the Retired Education Personnel of Mississippi (REPM) will meet Tuesday, March 6, at 1p.m. at the Attala Volunteer Program Building on East Adams Street. The March Team is in charge and has a very informative program planned. We hope you will join us for the info, games, and food. All PERS members are invited. Door prized will be given away.
‘A Time of Honor’
Vietnam 50th commemorative book, “A Time of Honor,” is available at the Veterans Service Office. You may pick up a copy if you bring DD214.
Bobcat meeting March 10
There will be a Bobcat Meeting Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Tipton Street Cafeteria.
Diabetes education
The Diabetes Care Management team of Premier Medical Group in Kosciusko will hold diabetes classes at 10 a.m. on March 8 and March 22 in their conference room.
Egg Hunt March 31
On Saturday, March 31, the courthouse lawn in downtown Kosciusko will be the location of an Easter Egg Hunt.
Spring Plant Swap
The Flora Spring Plant Swap, scheduled for 9 am Thursday, Mar. 29, 2018, will be held in the Flora Library meeting room. Bring 1 or 2 well-rooted plants to swap, and others if you want to share. Directions to the swap: Taking Hwy 49 to Flora, the South Flora exit at the Bank of Yazoo, the library is about a mile on the right. From Hwy 22, the library is a block off Main Street.
Picking 35 April 7
Plans are underway for the second annual Picking 35, slated for Saturday, April 7. Picking 35 is a 50-mile stretch of yard sales beginning in Attala County near Carmack that runs down Highway 35 through Kosciusko, Carthage and then ending in South Leake County at Walnut Grove.
