On Saturday, the Attala County Sheriff’s Department raised another $4,600 of the approximately $14,500 needed to purchase Victor, a K-9 officer, to replace the department’s prior K-9, who was put to sleep last fall due to significant health issues.
The event offered food, play areas, music, an auction and a dunk tank, which was definitely a favorite as local officials got in the tank.
“We need this dog to help with our drug problem,” Sheriff Tim Nail told the crowd. “We all know we’ve got one.”
