Tate took over as principal at the school earlier this school year.
In other action the board approved the hiring of Cooper Dixon as the new Director of Operations for the remainder of the school year. This position was approved by the board last month.
Other teacher hirings included Cole McBride as a teacher at Kosciusko Junior High and assistant baseball coach, Margaret Sanders as a teacher at the junior high and Melba White as a teacher at KLE. Retirement was granted to William Atkinson.
Other items approved by the board:
• approved sole source for Apple Inc. for purchase of iPads with Pre-K;
• adopted policy changes concerning fixed asset missing or stolen equipment and ICF curriculum adoption.
The next scheduled meeting of the Kosciusko Board of Trustees is set for Feb. 13.
