It is that time of the year again.
The City of Kosciusko will experience Mardi Gras season Saturday, Feb. 25 with the Second Annual Mardi Gras parade and festival in downtown.
There will be some intriguing changes this year, including a performance by the Holmes Community College Jazz Band at 11 a.m. on the courthouse lawn. The festival, which will last throughout the parade will feature multiple food vendors providing gourmet hot dogs, king cake, boiled peanuts, kettle corn and crawfish. Face painting will also be available for the children.
The parade lineup will begin at 12:15 with the parade expected to start around 12:30 p.m.
“We want everyone to dress in their Mardi Gras colors and join us for a fun and festive parade and festival,” said G.G. Holmes, Director of Community Development for the Kosciusko Attala Partnership.
