The Kosciusko Board of Alderman approved the hiring of two Kosciusko Police Department employees, Jerry Irving and Elizabeth Miller. Irving is currently certified in Mississippi, and Miller in Georgia.
In financial matters, the board also approved a payment of $4,682.74 to McKnight and Son.
In other personnel matters, the board approved the hiring of Kenyata Ferguson by the Wastewater Department, and of Samantha Blaine as a part-time employee of Kosciusko – Attala E-911.
Motions were approved for work-related travel expenses for city employees Risa Dubard, Howard Sharkey and Greg Collins.
The board approved motions to clean property located at 706 Fairground Road, extended notice to clean for a property on Atkinson St. by two weeks, and approved the cleaning and possible demolishing of properties at 107 Peeler St., and 212 S. East St., respectively. Notice given to a property at 426 Fenwick St. was dismissed, as it now meets city zoning standards.
