More than half a dozen people are charged after a drug raid in Kosciusko.
Kosciusko Police officers found marijuana, cocaine, money and weapons at a single residential home on Carter Street with seven people getting arrested.
After an extensive investigation into illegal drug sales, officers successfully executed a search warrant with support from the Attala County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 8:40 p.m. Saturday night. Police recovered $938 in cash, three hand guns, small amounts of marijuana and approximately two ounces of cocaine valued at $7,000.
Charges ranged from possession of a controlled substance to weapon possession by a felon and malicious mischief. All seven individuals were taken to the Leake County Correction Facility in Carthage.
Arrests:
•Courtney Lewis, a 30-year-old black male, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor marijuana possession andweapon possession by a felon. His bond was set at $20K;
• Lakendrick Williams, a 37-year-old black male, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor marijuana possession and weapon possession by a felon. His bond was set at $20K;
• Orlando Gentry, a 30-year-old black male, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor marijuana possession. His bond was set at $10K;
• Steven Triplett, a 27-year-old black male, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor marijuana possession. His bond was set at $10K;
• Kelvin Williams, a 26-year-old black male, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor marijuana possession. His bond was set at $10K;
• Crystal Olive, a 31-year-old black female, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor marijuana possession, contempt of court and malicious mischief. Her bond was set at $10K;
• Demetrius Olive, a 32-year-old black female, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor marijuana possession and malicious mischief. Her bond was set at $10K.
