Attala County Historical Society to honor Thomas Craft by renaming Palette Room
The Palette Room in the Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center is being renamed to honor Thomas Craft, a longtime supporter of the Attala Historical Society and the cultural center.
The Thomas Craft Room will be dedicated and a reception to honor him will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 4-6 p.m. in the Delta Gamma Memorial Room of the cultural center.
Through the years Craft has devoted countless hours toward maintenance of the Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center along with promoting fund-raising events and assisting in obtaining grants for the upkeep of the facility used for community events. He has served as treasurer for a number of years during his tenure on the historical society board of directors.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy refreshments with the honoree.
