The fall season is here and it is time for celebration.
The annual Autumn Arts Festival in downtown Kosciusko will return on Oct. 15 and as an added bonus music will be added to the event. Local musicians will be playing tunes in a pickin’ circle on the courthouse lawn to go along with the festival that highlights local artists.
Many local artists will have their work on display along with well-renowned blacksmith and member of the Mississippi Arts Commission Lyle Wynn.
Other artisans showcased this year will include Andrea Lawrence, Melinda Price, Allison Neyman, Brandy Jernigan, Carolyn Laxton, Amy McLellan, Kristi Blakely, Kristye Horn, Kandy Carpenter, Sarah Jones Mullins, Sharon Grimes, Jerry Buquet, Sara Hayes, Kay Moorehead, Vicki Brown and Latitude South.
These artisans will offer everything from painting on wood and glass, jewelry, Christmas decor to homebaked good and jams and jellies. Food and snacks will be for sale that day also.
The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. on the courthouse lawn. For more information on the Autumn Arts Festival, visit www.kosytrace.com.
