UPDATE:
Kosciusko Police Chief Herbert Dew announced today that two suspects are now in custody following a fatal shooting at Cannonade Apartments just after 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Trayvone Ickom, an 18-year-old black male from Kosciusko, was arrested yesterday, and John Partee, a 23-year-old black male, turned himself into police at 2 a.m. today. Both are charged with murder and are being held in the Leake County Correctional facility, each on a $250,000 bond.
The department initially received a telephone report of a shooting at Building 2 of the Cannonade Apartments just after 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, officers found a black male with a single gunshot wound to the head. The victim has been identified as Marshall Washington, 37, of Sallis. Washington was pronounced dead at the scene by Attala County Coroner Sam Bell.

The department received a telephone report of a shooting at Building 2 of the Cannonade Apartments just after 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

The Kosciusko Police Department is now seeking a second suspect – John Partee, aka Remey, in connection with the shooting. Partee is a 23-year-old black male with a large tattoo on the right side of his neck. He should be considered armed and dangerous if encountered.
