The Mary Ricks Thornton Cultural Center hosted the Kosciusko Fourth of July celebration last Thursday evening.
The event paid special honor to Desert Shield/Desert Storm veterans, but all branches of the miliary regardless of era were recognized.
Other than the traditional playing of “Taps” and a moment of silence, the evening was celebratory, with local musicians and singers offering patriotic tunes for the audience.
Following the performances, everyone gathered outside to enjoy each other’s company along with the warm weather, ice cream cones donated by Prairie Farms and lemonade.
