It's Saturday morning and we're at Hibbett Sports where Kingdom Life Church is holding its 10th annual Back to School Bash. Previously, the event was held at Jason Niles Park and included giveaways of backpacks to children in need.
This year, the started the day at Hibbett Sports and will be at Glendale Apartments from noon to 2 p.m., and at the Housing Authority from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
New this year is the Shoes of Hope program, which is providing $100 Hibbett Sports gift cards 85 children, allowing them to get the new shoes of their dreams for the coming school year.
The church identified students in need of this assistance by working with Kosciusko and Attala County schools.
