An Attala County Supervisor is recovering after an accident on Hwy. 19 Monday afternoon.
At 3:58 p.m. troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol and deputies with the Attala County Sheriff’s Office along with rescue officials were dispatched to a one vehicle accident on MS Highway 19.
District 1 Supervisor Bobby Lindsey, who is from Kosciusko, was traveling north on MS 19, according to MHP communications officer Tony Dunn. “Mr. Lindsey’s 1978 Mack dump truck had a blowout and traveled to the left shoulder of MS 19, continued off the roadway and collided with several trees,” Dunn said.
Lindsey was transported to The University Medical Center in Jackson with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
