It has been all of the buzz on social media and now it is a new tradition in Kosciusko.
As another way to pay homage to the Class of 2016, the seniors at Kosciusko High School participated in a “Senior Walk” Thursday morning at Lower Elementary School.
“Graduation is such a milestone that leads to the future and with this milestone this group of young people has achieved so much,” Kosciusko superintendent Gina Smith said. “One thing about working with this group of seniors is that you get to see how much they care for one another and for this community.”
As the seniors walked the halls, the excited younger students could not wait to give each of them a high-five. This walk came just a day before their graduation Friday night.
“We wanted to remind the seniors where they started and recognize that,” Lower Elementary Principal Michelle Nowell said. “But also we wanted to show our children that if they work hard in a few short years that they will get to experience something like this.”
“Hopefully this will be one of the new traditions established at Kosciusko School District,” Smith added. “Mrs. Nowell came up with this idea and it has been an amazing event to enjoy and honor these students.”
