County Police are investigating a grisly double homicide where a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were found shot to death Saturday night at a residence on Attala Road 4126 near McAdams.

“Our deputies acted quickly and did a good job to get the suspect into custody quickly,” Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail said.
The victims were found dead at the residence after Attala Communications notified the Sheriff’s Department of a 911 hang-up call where screaming was heard in the background before the call was dropped. Dispatch received multiple calls afterwards reporting multiple victims and a possible DOA.

According to Nail, Malone had a relationship and children with Harvey, while Flanagan was her boyfriend.
Malone was taken into custody at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Attala Road 4116 and was apprehended without resistance. He has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault.
He is being held at the Leake County Correctional Facility with bonds totaling $1.1 million.
“We had several eyewitnesses, which helped us apprehend the suspect quickly,” Nail added.
