A shooting in Sallis led to a pair of people being sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail stated that deputies were called to a residence on Attala Road 4002 around 4 p.m. Sunday after reports of a shooting.
“When deputies arrived, the homeowner said that shots were fired following an ‘altercation,’ but those involved had left,” Nail added.
The Sheriff’s Office received word later in the day that two of those involved had been admitted to hospitals in Holmes County and in Jackson after traveling there in private vehicles.
Nail said that warrants have been issued, but at press time, no arrests have been made.
The case in still under investigation.
