Christian Gardner, county engineer, brought the board some potential good news in the form of pending state legislation that could increase county state aid by as much as 80%. Senate bill 3046 and a related house bill, could allocate 15% of the current user tax to the county.
“It’s a great peice of legislation,” Gardner told the board.
“I commend Jason (White) for what he’s trying to do down there to get us some money,” said Charles Fancher, board chairman.
In other business, the supervisors set a Special Election to coincide with the November general election to replace District 3 Election Commissioner Frankie Farmer.
