Ethel High School teacher and softball coach Chris Schuster appeared before Attala County Justice Court Judge Robert Jordan last week and resolved charges that had been pending against him since late July.
By agreement with the prosecution and the victim, the charges were reduced and Schuster will pay court costs and fines related to two guilty pleas he entered in court.
The original felony charge of burglary of a dwelling was dropped, with a misdemeanor charge of trespassing replacing it. Schuster pleaded guilty to the trespassing charge, as well as to the original domestic violence - simple assault causing bodily injury charge.
He will pay a fine of $321 for each of the two guilty pleas, as well as court costs. Schuster surrendered one of the bonds he posted at the time of his arrest to cover those costs.
Action on the final original charge of misdemeanor malicious mischief was postponed with the liklihood that it will be dropped if he pays restitution to the victim.
