West
The West Friends of The Library recently held a very successful bake sale to raise money for the Summer Kids Program. They would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made cakes, cookies, breads and rolls.
Also, a thank you to those who purchased the many wonderful products or just gave a donation. These monies will be used for various programs for the kids during the summer months. Just a few examples have been, bingo, unusual animals, magicians, Forestry Department plus many others. These programs help to educate and enlighten them, plus help to keep our children occupied during the summer months. If you would like further information, you may get in touch with our librarian, Miranda Robinson, at the West City Library, 662-967-2510. Again, thank you to all for the items you made for this recent bake sale.
I would also like to say once again that Saturday, May 4, is the big day — the West school reunion — for the people who have gone to school in West. We are hoping that you have gotten your RSVPs in and that the weather will cooperate with us this year.
Let’s all remember our friends and relatives with illness, sickness surgeries, or deaths in their families.
