1 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah. 22 After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for another 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters. 23 Enoch lived 365 years, 24 walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him.
— Genesis 5:21-24 (NLT)
5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.
— Hebrews 11:5 (NLT)
Enoch had such a deep personal relationship with the Creator that God just took him on to Heaven. How awesome is that?
These verses reveal that no matter how close we are to God there is a deeper relationship with Him available to us.
When we are in Heaven we will have a perfect supernatural relationship with God without the presence of evil. Here on Earth we have the special opportunity to grow in our relationship with God despite our human flaws and failures. Seek all you can of Him all the time.
There is a deeper relationship available for you with Him NOW than can be imagined.
Consuming the spiritual nourishment God has for us is unlike eating and drinking in the flesh. The more we get of God the more our soul craves for Him and desires to be continually fed. Don’t let fear, opinions of others, and tradition hinder you from dining at His blessed table. Dive in!!!
The question we must all ask ourselves is this: Are we just trying to have “enough God in our lives to get by” or are we seeking the “Enoch Experience,” desiring every drop that He has for us?
A long distance relationship with God is spiritually dangerous. Why straddle the fence, or just go through the spiritual motions?
There are three major forms of communication with God: Reading the Word of God (Him speaking); Praise and Worship (you speaking to Him); and prayer (you and God having a conversation).
Stop settling for just getting by spiritually and begin seeking the Enoch experience today.
Never cease consuming His Word eagerly, worshiping Him passionately and praying continually.
