The Nation's Weather for Monday, May 30, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Unsettled weather will continue across parts of the northern
Plains as the risk for damaging thunderstorms continues from
northern Kansas to Minnesota through the evening overnight
hours. Storms can bring large hail, damaging winds and even
an isolated tornado. Meanwhile, a pocket of cool air high in
the atmosphere will continue to bring widespread showers of
rain and high-elevation snow from the Pacific Northwest to
the northern and central Rockies. Gusty winds are also
expected to continue farther south across the Four Corners
states, leading to an elevated fire risk. Conditions will
turn humid and much warmer across the Northeast and
Mid-Atlantic, though many will remain dry with the exception
of thunderstorms dotting Florida.
