The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 30, 2021
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A bit of rain will dampen the Southeast tomorrow. A few
thunderstorms may even rumble across portions of Alabama and
southern Mississippi; however, severe weather is not
expected. A swath of light snow will spread across northern
Minnesota with flurries extending into northern Wisconsin
and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Snow is expected to
return to the Pacific Northwest, with only the immediate
coasts of Washington and Oregon warm enough for a mix or
rain. Farther east, snow will also fall in the Rockies. Rain
will provide more drought relief in Southern California.
Unfortunately, some of the rain may be heavy enough to cause
instances of flooding on streets and in areas of poor
drainage. Frigid air will spill into the northern Plains.
