The Nation's Weather for Friday, April 15, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The recent blizzard will be over in the northern Plains by
tomorrow, but it will remain windy and unseasonably cold
with a few flurries still around in eastern North Dakota and
northern Minnesota. A band of rain showers will stretch from
upstate New York to northwestern Pennsylvania and northern
Illinois. A spotty shower or thunderstorm may occur from
eastern Texas and Louisiana northward to a zone from
southeastern Kansas to northern Kentucky. In the West, a bit
of snow is forecast to fall in the Washington Cascades and
central Montana. Meanwhile, rain from the next system will
begin to move ashore during the afternoon hours in far
southern Oregon and Northern California. A hot and breezy
day is expected in western and west-central Texas, which
will elevate the fire risk.
