The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, July 3, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Within two different areas, thunderstorms will be capable of
becoming severe tomorrow. From the southern High Plains of
New Mexico northward to central Kansas, and extending into
far southern North Dakota and extreme southeastern Montana,
storms may bring large hail, strong winds and perhaps a
tornado. Farther east, storms from western New York to Ohio
may contain a somewhat greater tornado threat, with
additional severe risk stretching through southern Missouri.
South and east of there, another day of pop-up thunderstorms
may be expected from the coastal Texas-Louisiana border
eastward along the Gulf coast and into the Florida
Peninsula. Monsoon storms will also rebuild for parts of
Arizona and New Mexico, with a mainly dry day for both
coasts as extreme heat builds in the Southwest.
