As Sullivan’s Drugs and Gifts celebrates its 50th anniversary this week, founder Ronnie Sullivan said he never dreamed of offering gifts to his customers. The addition of gifts to the store’s offerings came after the business was purchased by son-in-law David Hudson in 2009. The gift business now fills a major portion of the store.

Trace cyclist honored on birthday

When Katherine Jeter, cycling the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville to Natchez, arrived at the Visitor’s Center in Kosciusko Monday afternoon, she was surprised with a birthday party honoring her on her 80th birthday. She was greeted by Mayor Jimmy Cockroft and Donna Holdiness, who coordinates volunteers at the center.
