Betty was born February 21, 1940. She died at her home on December 9, 2020, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alexander McCarroll, parents, Lena Busby Fowler and Ernest Fowler, and brother Roy Fowler.
Betty grew up in Kosciusko, MS, where she met the love of her life, Joe McCarroll.
