The Coahoma Community College Tigers jumped out to an early 13-0 point lead in the first quarter and it was too much for the Holmes Community College Bulldogs to overcome as the Tigers won, 26-14, here Thursday night.

The Tigers scored first in the game with 13:30 left in the first quarter on a two-yard run. The extra point was no good and led 6-0.
Late in the first quarter, Johnson scored again from eight yards out. The extra point was good, and Coahoma led 13-0.
The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard with 6:05 left in the second quarter when freshman B back Wykece Johnson scored from 14 yards out. Blake Backel's extra point was good, and Coahoma led 13-7.
The Tigers added a 22-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to lead 16-7 at halftime.
Freshman quarterback Jevon McDonald brought the Bulldogs closer in the third quarter when he scored from two yards out. Backel's extra point was good, and Coahoma led 16-14.
Coahoma added a 37-yard field goal with 8:03 left in the third quarter.
The Tigers added their final score with 3:42 left in the game on a 50-yard run.
Johnson ended the game with 93 yards on 16 carries while sophomore A back Danny Woodard had 47 yards on four carries.
Freshman defensive back Tomicrin Taylor led the Bulldogs with 10 tackles while sophomore defensive back Brandon Cross and sophomore linebacker Colin Hunt each had nine tackles. Freshman linebacker Jordan Milton had 2.5 tackles for loss while freshman linebacker Dakyian Edwards and freshman defensive lineman Devean Turner each had 1.5 tackles for loss. Freshman defensive lineman Donovan Turner had a blocked field goal.
