Mrs. Parish was born October 11, 1932, in Choctaw County to Thomas Clifton and Verna Hopkins Nowell. She was a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ.
Doyce was the oldest sister of 14 siblings. Her responsibility was heavy at times. She was always a hard worker and loved helping others. She was always working in her yard and flowerbeds. She was an outstanding homemaker. You could eat off the floor it was so clean and when you walked out to leave her house, she would be shaking out every rug behind you. She delighted in cooking and sharing with many friends, family, and neighbors, serving the Bear Creek and McCool area by visiting or carrying a delicious dish to someone.
Her most prized possession was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were first and foremost her love. She was always going above and beyond to help them and always teaching them the importance in church and serving God. If you asked her what you would want if you could have anything, it would be for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to come visit and to gather with family. She loved her family.
She is survived by two sons, Danny and Tim Parish of the Bear Creek Community; four brothers, Telvis (Teresa) Nowell, Terry (Linda) Nowell of Stewart , Doyle (Ann) Nowell of Ackerman and Lennis (Janice) Nowell of Corinth; three sisters, Loyce (Jerry) Dunn of Brandon, MS., Joyce (W.L.)
