Bessie Mae Hughes, 76, passed away on January 13, 2021, at her residence in Kosciusko, MS.
Funeral Services are at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at North Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in North Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at North Union Baptist Church.
Bessie Mae is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Blackstock (Steve); her son, Robert Hughes (Melissa); her brothers, Marshall Hood and Joe Hood; and her sisters, Mary “Rixie” Cook, Virginia Odom and Glenda Brunt. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matt Leach, Corey Hughes, Josh Hughes, Allison Webb, Amber Blackstock, Summer Blackstock and Lauren Chandler.
Bessie was a member at Temple Baptist Church and a retired certified nursing assistant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hughes; parents Henry and Alice Mae Partin Hood; sister, Sharon; and brothers, Eli and Henry “Buddy.”
