Helping Hands prepares gifts
Helping Hands completes its annual Angel Tree effort, ensuring that local children each have something under the Christmas Tree regardless of their family’s financial situation.
After the final food distribution of the year on Thursday, Dec. 17, the organization will shut down for a brief break until the new year.
But in looking toward 2021, the organization is seeking financial support for all of its programs as many of its fundraisers and income-generating efforts were curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic this year. If you can help, send your donation to Helping Hands, PO Box 299, Kosciusko, MS, 39090.
Lions Club to deliver food baskets
Lions Club members and volunteers from the Mayor’s Youth Council, the community, and high school athletic teams, put together 240 food baskets to help those in need this holiday season.
The baskets will be delivered on Wednesday to homes all over the county.
