The toolbox at Milwaukee Tool’s new state-of-the-art accessories manufacturing facility in the Grenada County I-55 Business and Technology Park is already expanding.
Sawzall blades began rolling off the assembly line in the nearly 600,000 square foot facility in late 2024. Three shifts are now currently working to produce a projected more than 100 million of the versatile blades annually. Following actions by the Brookfield, Wis.-based company Wednesday, the Grenada facility will soon add to its production portfolio.
According to Reegan Wallander Sr., Brand Manager in Milwaukee Tool’s Corporate Public Relations Office, the company’s Hole Saw manufacturing operations currently based in Greenwood will be relocated to the new $60 million facility in Grenada throughout 2025. Employees of both manufacturing facilities were notified by company officials Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Greenwood has been a vital part of Milwaukee Tool’s success for more than 20 years, and we are committed to maintaining a strong presence in the Greenwood community,” Wallander said. “The Service Operations at our Greenwood facility will remain in place, continuing to support customers across the country and building on the exceptional legacy of excellence established by our team there.”
Matthew Harrison, CEO of the Greater Grenada Partnership, the lead economic and chamber of commerce organization in Grenada County, was excited by the news.
“The relocation of Milwaukee Tool’s Hole Saw manufacturing operations will bring significant economic activity to Grenada, contributing to the community’s development and helping us reach new goals for growth,” Harrison said Wednesday afternoon.
Wallander went on to add that the company is steadfast in retaining its employee base from the Greenwood facility.
“We recognize the impact of this transition, and we are committed to supporting our employees throughout the process,” he continued. “All employees currently working in our Hole Saw manufacturing operations will be offered continued employment in Grenada. Exceptional benefits and resources employees have grown accustomed to will still be available to them in Grenada including, training and development programs, and support for career growth. With the advanced capabilities in our Grenada facility, additional amenities and benefits are available to employees such as an on-site wellness center and clinic, and a fitness gym.”
