Kosciusko will be at home Tuesday for a second round 4A girls soccer playoff game against Northeast Lauderdale. Kickoff time is 5:30 p.m. The Lady Whippets advanced with a 6-0 victory over Ripley.
Kosciusko is the home team because the Lady Whippets are the second seed from Regin 3-4A and Northeast Lauderdale the fourth seed from 4-4A.
But Northeast is no ordinary fourth seed from a very strong region. The Lady Trojans were 1-5 in region play, but 11-8-1 overall, including a 1-0 upset of 1-4A champion New Albany in the opening round.
Richland lost to Northeast 2-0, but defeated Kosciusko 5-1.
The season ended for Kosciusko boys with a 1-0 loss to Ripley.
