In a special called meeting held on April 23 at City Hall, the Kosciusko Board of Aldermen took significant steps, including the appointment of a new Police Chief and several key decisions impacting the community.
Following an executive session, the board unanimously appointed Greg Collins as the new Police Chief, succeeding Chief RJ Adams who is set to retire. Collins, who has been an integral part of the department, will officially assume the role on June 1st, 2024.
In addition to the appointment, the board addressed various other matters among these, they approved the hiring of a part-time police officer, a paving change order was approved, with the addition of 2006 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt and 11,000 Sq. Yds. of Cold Milling at the cost of $385,020.
