A parade and pep rally will kick off the 2022 season of Kosciusko Little Whippets football.
Both events will be held Saturday, Aug. 13.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at the Renasant Bank parking lot in downtown Kosciusko. The parade route will travel around the square. A pep rally, featuring the Little Whippets cheerleading squads, will follow at Jason Niles Park.The public is invited to attend the parade and pep rally. Also at the pep rally, the coaches will speak and the Little Whippets teams will be introduced.
A raffle will be held at the event. Tickets are $5 each. The first-place winner will receive a whole hog. The second-place winner will receive a $100 gas card, and the third-place winner will receive a $50 grocery certificate. This is a fundraising event for the Little Whippets.

The playoffs begin on Oct. 8. Ages 5-6 play at 9 a.m., 7-8 at 10 a.m., 9-10 at 11 a.m. and 11-12 at noon.
