Miss Ella Flora “Flo” Green, longtime Kosciusko resident, marked her 99th birthday on Aug. 30 at Lakeland Nursing and Rehab in Jackson.
On Sunday, a number of family members honored her with visits, gifts and refreshments in the dining hall of the nursing facility. On Tuesday, several members of Williamsville Independent Methodist Church visited and celebrated with her. She was an active member of the Williamsville church as long as her health permitted.
She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in the Shady Grove Community of Attala County, daughter of the late Walter Gray and Ella Lindsay Green. She was retired from years of service with Bell Telephone Co., South Central Bell, and AT&T.
