A meeting of the MS Tobacco-Free Coalition of Attala, Leake and Winston Counties was held recently at the Kosciusko-Attala Career Tech Center.
Those in attendance were Markeith Selmon of Boswell Media; Michelle Byrd with MSDH Office of Tobacco Control; Amy Price, Tracy Burnley and health students at Kosciusko-Attala Career Tech Center; Leigh Lamkin MS Tobacco-Free Coalition of Attala, Leake and Winston Counties.
The coalition works to reduce tobacco-related disease and death by educating youth about the dangers of tobacco, encouraging communities to implement smoke-free ordinances and promoting tobacco cessation services.
The MS Tobacco-Free Coalitions are funded by the MS State Department of Health.
