Ashley Thompson Bryan and Steven Wayne Summers, both of Vicksburg, were married Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the Terry Depot Reception Hall in Terry. Bro. Ricky Summers officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Cheryel King and the late Leon Thompson. She currently teaches Algebra and Calculus at Vicksburg High School.
The bridegroom is the son of Ricky and Nan Summers of Kosciusko. He teaches Biology at Warren Central High School.
Ferns and a variety of summer flowers adorned the stage in the Terry Depot where the couple was married. Their special attendants were Miss Gracie Anne Summers, nine, and Isaac Walker Summers, seven.
Music was provided by a playlist chosen by the couple. A family Bible was displayed and guests were invited to highlight favorite scripture verses or words of wisdom for their future together.
At the reception following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a tiered variety of vanilla, chocolate and red velvet cupcakes mixed with fresh chocolate dipped strawberries which were prepared by the bride. A hot pasta bar was offered with salad and bread. A fruit table and punch were also served.
After a honeymoon in South Carolina and Florida, the couple plans to continue making their home in Vicksburg.
