Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Odom of Kosciusko, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslie Nicole, to James Cody Griffin, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Griffin of Walthall.
Miss Odom is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hudgins of Kosciusko, Mr. and Mrs. David Patterson of McCool and the late Charles N. Odom. Mr. Griffin is the grandson of Mr. Charles Stewart of Walthall and the late Sherlene Stewart, along with Ms. Sue Griffin of Sparta and the late Mr. James S. Griffin.
Leslie is a 2010 graduate of Ethel High School where she was selected as Star Student. She attended Meridian Community College receiving her Associates Degree in Nursing. While at Meridian, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa where she served as the MS/LA Regional Vice President. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. She is employed at Baptist Medical Center- Attala as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
James is a 2007 honors graduate of Eupora High School, where he was involved in Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. While at Eupora, he became a three sport, four-year letterman. He also received All District in baseball and football. He received his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science at Itawamba Community College. He is employed at Medstat EMS as a paramedic, where he has worked for eight years.
The couple will be united in marriage March 25, 2017, at 2 p.m., at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kosciusko with the Rev. Butch Bell presiding. All friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception immediately following. After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Kosciusko.
