Mr. and Mrs. Grover Thomas Pound, Jr. of Starkville, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Margaret Caroline, to Nicholas Andrew Ammirati, son of Ms. Tammi Brady Ammirati of Sparta, New Jersey, and Mr. Christopher Anthony Ammirati of Budd Lake, New Jersey.
Miss Pound is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas Thornton of Kosciusko, and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Carl Lehman of Baton Rouge, and the late Mr. Grover Thomas Pound, Sr. of LaGrange, Georgia.
The bride-elect is a 2012 Honor Graduate of Kosciusko High School. She was graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2016 from Mississippi State University with a degree in Political Science. While at Mississippi State, she was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu sorority. She is currently employed as a Transition Specialist in the Department of Adult Education at Hinds Community College.
Ammirati is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Lee Brady of Carmel, Indiana, and Ms. Anita Agnes Ammirati of Staten Island, New York, and the late Mr. Frank Anthony Ammirati of Naples, Florida.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, New Jersey. He was graduated in 2013 from Mississippi State University with a degree in Communications and Public Relations. While at Mississippi State, he was a starting catcher for the Mississippi State Baseball Team where he was named SEC Player of the Week and twice-named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll. In 2016, he received his Master of Science degree in Health
Promotion from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He is currently employed as the Pitching Coach and Recruitment Coordinator for the Hinds Community College Baseball Program. He also serves as the school Sports Information Director.
The couple will exchange vows December 8, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, Starkville, with a reception following at The Mill Conference Center.
