Pete and Cindy Melby of Starkville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jane Caroline Melby, to Brent Wesley Rupard, son of Larry and Shirley Rupard of Shepherdsville, Ky.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Pauline Brunt of Kosciusko and the late Jack Brunt.
She is a graduate of Belmont University with a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Music Business. She is a recording artist, songwriter and a member of the band HanaLena. She is employed at Belmont University as a Career Development Specialist for Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business.
The prospective bridegroom is a native of Shepherdsville, Ky and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of Western Kentucky. He is a songwriter for Sea Gayle Music Publishing as well as a signed recording artist in the duo, Everette, for Broken Bow Records/BMG Music Group.
Both Brent and Caroline currently reside in Nashville. The families are planning a wedding on October 13 in Starkville.
