Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor Kitchings, Jr., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Katherine Kitchings, to Davis Anderson Woodall, son of Drs. William and Bonnie Woodall of Madison.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Edgar Shaw of Kosciusko, and Mrs. Dorothy Hannah Kitchings and Dr. and Mrs. John Taylor Kitchings, Sr., of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Maloy Noe of Starkville, and Mrs. Claude Oliver Woodall, Jr., of Madison, and the late Mr. Woodall.
Miss Kitchings is an Alpha Omega graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and graduated from the University of Mississippi where she received a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with an emphasis in public relations. At Ole Miss, she was on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll and was a member of Delta Delta Delta fraternity where she served on the recruitment team and as vice president of chapter development. Miss Kitchings is an account executive at Career Group in New York.
Woodall is also an Alpha Omega graduate of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and was graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University in New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in music industries studies and a minor in business administration and film studies. At Loyola he was a Presidential Scholar and member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Woodall is a trainee in the Directors Guild of America (DGA) 2016 Assistant Director Training Program in New York.
The couple will exchange vows at the historic Race and Religious venue in New Orleans on Nov. 18, 2016.
